Keeping well physically and mentally during this interesting time is crucial.
The worst thing you could do is park up on the couch and eat a pile of rubbish for 4 weeks.
Here is a wee few tips to help you and your family come out the other end of this ready to take on the rest of 2020 full of enthusiasm and drive
  • EXERCISE – this will mean something different for everyone, whether it be a daily walk around the block or getting out on a mission with the family to somewhere you haven’t discovered before. Walking, biking, scooting, a kick around at the park can all be done adhering to the 2m sociable distancing rule. If you are working from home its very important for you to get outside in the fresh air at least a couple of times a day. There is a multitude of online exercise programs you can do at home pick one that works for you
  • EAT WELL – Being stuck at home its very easy to graze all day, try to eat at routine times, a plate full of colour will serve you better than bulk bought Pasta, rice, & flour, and variety in your meals
  • KEEP IN TOUCH with loved ones – this is also a great time to get in touch with those friends and family you haven’t spoken to in a long time
  • BE GRATEFUL – for those people who are keeping the nation ticking along. Essential services remain running, these people are doing a wonderful job. Farmers will keep farming, pharmacists will continue dispense, doctors’ nurses & carers will all still care for those who need it, supermarket shelves will remain stocked, Police will be busier than ever as stress creeps in and family units are tested. Be grateful for them, & the fact the right decision has been made to get this under control
  • BONUS TIME – use this extra time to tick those projects off you just never get to, use it as quality time with family playing games, learning, creating, snuggling up on couch together, read and educate yourself, declutter – start a box of things you no longer use, get it ready to donate it when this is over
  • LOOK OUT FOR OTHERS – check on those in your neighbourhood offer to get essential items for them, cook a bigger meal so you can plate up a meal for your elderly family members or neighbours.
